The Alabama Association of Health Information Management recognizes and honors outstanding members of the Association for loyal service and contributions to the profession. Awards are presented at the annual meeting of the AAHIM.

Outstanding HIM Student Award
Recognizes health information management students in each of the HIM programs in Alabama for GPA excellence, academic honors, and college and community activities.

Distinguished Member Award
Recognizes an active member with at least five years of service in the AAHIM who is marked by distinction, excellence of service and contribution to the profession.

AAHIM Scholarship
Awarded to health information management students in each of the HIM programs in Alabama for accomplishments in leadership, service, and scholarship.

Outstanding New Professional Award
Recognizes an active member with fewer than five years of service who has demonstrated excellence of service, leadership and innovation as a new professional.
