Personal Responsibility & Liability Waiver

By attending an Alabama Association of  Health Information Management Association (AAHIM) in-person Event, you voluntarily assume all risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury related to exposure to COVID-19, and release AAHIM from liability for any injury or harm that may result by attending the Event.

AAHIM’s goal is to ensure a safe meeting environment. As such, you also agree to abide by any prevention or safety measures that AAHIM, the venue, the County health department, or the State of Alabama may have in place during the Event. You also agree not to attend the event if you become ill, are aware that you’ve been directly exposed to the COVID-19 virus within two weeks before the event, or exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus before or during the Event.

Meeting Attendee Cancellation Policy

Virtual Meetings: On-demand webinars are non-refundable.

In-Person Meetings: Anyone who pays registration fees and cannot attend the event may send a substitute. Cancellations prior to the close of online registration will be refunded the registration fee, minus a $25 processing fee. If you do not cancel your registration, then you will be billed the registration fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations after the close of online registration.

Annual Meeting Terms & Liability

Terms: Full payment is due no later than the close of online registration.

Liability: AAHIM and other hosts of the AAHIM Annual Meeting will take reasonable precautions to protect against loss, damage or injury; however, the parties named herein shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, inconvenience, injury or theft that may occur to the exhibitor, exhibitor’s employee or exhibitor’s property. Exhibitors are encouraged to take precaution to safeguard and secure their property. Perimeter security will be provided at the close of exhibit hours until opening the next day.

Exhibitor Agreement

The exhibitor agrees to release and hold harmless the Alabama Health Information Management Association, its officers, representatives, agents and directors for all liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, or injury resulting directly or indirectly from any cause whatsoever with the AAHIM Annual Meeting and execution of this agreement.

Insufficient Check Funds Policy

If a check is bounced due to insufficient funds, you will be responsible for paying for all returned check service charges.
