Call for Board Nominations

The Alabama Association of Health Information (AAHIM) Nominating Committee wants you to suggest fellow members and/or yourself as possible candidates for AAHIM President-Elect and 2 Director positions for the 2022 AAHIM elections.

Board Position: President-Elect

  • Flower: Lily (Purity, Passionate, Sweetness)
  • Description: Shall act in place of the President in the event of the absence of the President and shall exercise such other duties as may be delegated to the office by the BoD. The President-Elect must be an active member of AHIMA and AAHIM and hold a current RHIA or RHIT credential.
  • Cost:  4 – 5 days per month for one year; 3-year commitment

Board Position: First-Year Director

  • Flower: Rose (Beauty, Love, Sweet Aroma)
  • Description: Serves a two-year position, serves as Chairman of a Standing Committee of AAHIM or a Committee appointed by the AAHIM BoD, and attends Board meetings regularly.
  • Cost: 2 days per month for two years;  2-year commitment
