Responsibilities include coding all requested medical records using the most accurate and appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRG assignment according to regulatory guidelines, best practices in the industry and IH policies and procedures. Coders are required to meet productivity and accuracy standards, and write appropriate queries. Commitment to continually improving personal coding skills by actively participating in education is required.
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, COC or CIC
- Minimum 2-3 years inpatient coding experience in an acute care facility
- Computer proficiency, able to research coding questions and utilize educational resources
- High speed internet (no Satellite or wireless cell based)
- Independent, focused individual able to work remotely
- 3M 360 experience
- EPIC experience
- Cardiac and IR experience
