This is a remote inpatient Coder position. Responsibilites include coding all requested medical records using the most accurate and appropriate ICD-10-CPM/PCS codes and DRG assignment according to regulatory guidelines, best practice in the industry and Infirmary Health policies and procedures. Coders are required to meet productivity and accuracy standards, and write appropriate queries. Commitment to continually improving personal coding skills by actively participating in education is required.
- RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS
- Minimum of 2-3 years inpatient coding experience in an acute care facility
- Computer proficiency, able to research coding questions and utilize educational resources
- High speed internet via Cable (no Satellite or wireless cell based)
- Independent, focused individual able to work remotely
- 3M 360 and Epic experience
- Associate Degree in Health Information Technology preferred
