The Coding Team Leader position is responsible for assuring timely documentation of diagnoses and procedure codes for all patients to complete the billing process and the statistical database. This position is also responsible for routinely tracking all incomplete records via the daily discharged not final billed report to assure that they are processed within the defined goals. Works in conjunction with Corporate Compliance to assure all coding is based on complete and accurate documentation that is reflective of the patient’s medical condition.
Completion of CCS or RHIA/RHIT approved American Health Information/Management course. 3 years coding in an acute care facility. 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
License/Certification required: RHIT/RHIA, CCS or CIC
Education/Experience: High School graduate or equivalent required.
Compensation based on experience.
