Katherine Downing is AHIMA’s Vice President Information Governance, Informatics and Standards. She has over 20 years of healthcare experience as a consultant, Director, Privacy Officer, Project Manager, and IT System Analyst. As a Director of Patient Health Information Protection at a hospital systems’ corporate office she led the creation of the Privacy Program for over 300 hospitals, surgery centers, and physician practices including training over 1000 privacy officers. She has expertise in Electronic Health Records and has worked with numerous sites during implementations and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Ms. Downing is an established speaker on diverse healthcare topics and an active author on information governance, security, privacy and legal health records. She is also an adjunct faculty member for the University of Cincinnati.

Anyone who pays registration fees and cannot attend the event may send a substitute. Cancellations prior to the close of online registration will be refunded the registration fee minus a $25 processing fee. If you do not cancel your registration, then you will be billed the registration fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations after the close of online registration.

When you register online, you will have the option to pay by mail with a check or pay online with a credit card (AMEX, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover).
If you are paying by check, select “mail a check” under payment options. You will later see instructions to print the confirmation page and mail your payment to KnowledgeConnex. The mailing address will be on the invoice. Make your check payable to KnowledgeConnex and include the confirmation/order number with the check. Checks that do not reference the confirmation number will be returned to you and will not be applied to the registration.
